Organized within the 7th Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities, the conference will focus on the theme of nanosciences and nanotechnologies. There, it will be possible to discuss themes, such as the need for innovation within the European industry and the major obstacles hindering innovation; future perspectives for industry with newly developed manufacturing technologies, materials and nanotechnologies; and the social, environmental sustainability and competitiveness perspectives of the European manufacturing industry.

This conference thus constitutes a discussion forum where the industry, research institutions, universities and decision-makers have the opportunity to discuss possible collaborations and proposals for an improved integration of these technologies in the near future.
